Unipub is an academic publishing house that publishes scholarly books, prints dissertations and compendiums, and accommodates other academic printing requests. Our publications cover a wide range of scholarly subjects, with an emphasis on the humanities and social sciences. Unipub is owned by the Foundation for Student Life in Oslo (SiO. Surplus revenues are used to support SiO programs that improve the welfare of the student community in Oslo.

Accredited Scientific Publisher
Unipub is accredited as a scientific publisher by the Norwegian Association of Higher Education Institutions (level 1). According to the Association a scientific publication will:
1. Introduce original research.
2. Present results and conclusions based on rigorous scientific research that is openly available to others and is in line with the standard rules of conducting and reporting scientific work.
3. Be written in a language appropriate for the necessary distribution to ensure the information will be accessible to all interested parties.
4. Be published in a medium (paper, series, book, web publishing) with a system for professional peer review.
A scientific publishing medium is a publisher that has a quality control mechanism whereby the research is examined by editors and undergoes peer review. The publisher will have an infrastructure for the distribution of a manuscript for critical review for all those interested in publishing their work.
